Healing Tears

Sharing tears and tears and still more tears,
Tears of pain, of love, and of hope.
Tears like rain from a sacred sky:
First just cleansing, washing the poison out of our tired bodies
so it can't hurt us anymore.
Then, soothing our aching dry hearts,
helping them grow whole again,
cooling the burning scars inside.
Leading us to hug so tightly that we mix the tears on our faces,
like blood brothers mixing their blood
to stay connected forever.
